Within Rye Foreign there are a number of sites of interest
Leasam Heronry Wood (TQ907216) is a 2.2 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific interest.
Rye Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital currently includes a 19 bed intermediate care hospital.
St Bartholomew's Court (Sanctuary Housing) and GP Services at the Rye Medical Centre.
A Plaque in an apparently empty area of rye cemetry known as the third devision remembers
several hundred men, women and children who died in the adjoining Rye Union Workhouse
in nearly 100 years from 1844 and were buried in unmarked graves.
The surviving listed building of the 1843 workhouse on hilltop drive
was once the nurses quarters for the old Rye Hospital, and is currently used as social housing.
